The Verdict: UNDERWHELMING

Utterly, totally and completely relieved to discover that since i moved from London to NY, i haven’t been missing out on a thing not having Topshop in NY.

All this time i now realize that the myth was more fulfilling than the reality, which, all in all, seems to be:

- racks of ‘affordable’ items (badly made, piled high, rumpled) that are indestinguishable from Old Navy

- mixed with other horribly, CRAZILY overpriced ‘fashion-forward’ stuff.

Plus the shoes were crap, except for the Office Shoes concession.

I came away with a 100% rayon digitized floral print slip for $80 as souvenier token.

I never thought i’d say this: but French Connection is better value and quality than Topshop. Mr. Green got greedy.
